What is a Vasa menstrual cup?

It’s a reusable, flexible cup made of 100% natural rubber. It is used to collect menstrual blood during a woman’s period. Unlike tampons or pads, which absorb menstrual fluid, the Vasa menstrual cup sits inside the vagina and collects the fluid.

The Vasa menstrual cup is made of 100% natural rubber, one natural ingredient ensuring the highest quality.

To use a menstrual cup, you fold it, insert it into the vagina, and it opens up to form a seal. The cup can be worn for up to 10 hours, depending on your unique flow, and is then removed, emptied, washed, and reinserted. After each menstrual cycle, wash your Vasa cup thoroughly with natural soap, dry and store in the Vasa linen bag provided. Keep in a cool dry place.

Vasa is handcrafted, not injected, to preserve the high quality of the natural rubber, making it naturally soft, comfortable and the healthiest choice.

Yes, for up to four years.

Yes, first, use a natural mild soap and water to clean. Place Vasa in a mug and pour boiling water over the cup and let sit for a few minutes. This is sufficient.

Warning: Placing Vasa cup in boiling water on the stove will destroy the natural rubber properties that we have carefully preserved during manufacturing.

Fold. Fold Vasa in on itself as shown in the picture. To do this squeeze the cup flat then fold it in half.

Hold. Hold Vasa firmly in its folded position and guide it rim-first into the vagina.

Insert. You can insert Vasa while lifting one leg higher. Spreading your legs will facilitate insertion. You will find the correct position in the vagina by practicing and getting to know your own anatomy. In order to avoid leaks, make sure that the Vasa cup is inserted high and has opened properly by gently pulling down on the stem

Remove. To remove Vasa gently and slowly pull down on the stem and pour the contents into the lavatory.

Rinse and Re-use. Rinse Vasa menstrual in cold water, so that menstrual blood does not stain the cup or cause odors. Then, wash your Vasa carefully in warm water and soap to clean it sufficiently before reinsertion.

Please refer to Vasa pictorial instructions or how to use video.

You might slightly feel the Vasa cup when first inserted and during removal. There should be no discomfort. Follow the pictorial instructions for best insertion, wear and removal.

Vasa menstrual cup is naturally soft and comfortable. When inserted correctly, Vasa sits without pressure or irritation. Remove, wash and reinsert if any discomfort arises. Your Vasa menstrual cup could be full.

Remove, clean and reinsert. We suggest wearing a panty liner when learning to use the Vasa cup.

We recommend between 8 – 10 hours. In the comfort of your own home, you might like to shorten the time.

We recommend giving your body a rest at night from wearing the Vasa cup.

  1. Small: Especially designed for young girls.
  2. Medium: Women who have a normal flow with a small to medium anatomy.
